Alfred Archer is an Associate Professor of philosophy at Tilburg University. He is especially interested in ethical questions related to the ways we find meaning in our lives, particularly in relation to emotions, morality, sport, culture and politics. He has worked on ethical and political questions related to admiration, commemoration, nostalgia, education, fandom, economic inequality, fame, celebrity, sport and (digital) technology.

Alfred has experience in giving presentations to a wide public that make complex philosophical ideas accessible to everyone.
